Participation Rules

This document defines all the rules for the popular vote and the criteria that govern user participation in the Otaku Saver Awards. It ensures transparency, organization, and security throughout the entire process.


This regulation aims to ensure fairness, clarity, and transparency in all award processes.


1. General Eligibility Criteria

A title, artist, work, or professional can only compete for the Otaku Saver Anime Awards if they meet the following criteria:

1.1. Launch Period

  • The work must have been released in Brazil between January 1st and December 31st of the current year .
  • In the case of international production, the official Brazilian release .

1.2. Official Distribution

  • Content must be released legally, through:
    • licensed streaming platforms,
    • Brazilian publishers,
    • official manga apps,
    • Legally approved distribution channels.

2. Specific Rules — National Manga

Manga produced by Brazilian artists will only be eligible if they meet the following mandatory criteria:

2.1. Official Availability

The work must have been published in Brazilian Portuguese through:

  • Reading platforms freeprovided they are official, such as:
    • Tapas,
    • Webtoon,
    • Social Comics,
    • Manga Plus Brazil,
    • Other verified and authorized platforms.

OR

  • To have been officially released by a publisherwhether physical or digital.
    • Independent print releases are also accepted, provided they have official publicity and verified sales channels.

2.2. Characteristics of the Work

  • It must feature an original storyline, its own characters, and visual elements that relate to the manga or Japanese comic book style.
  • Unauthorized adaptations, fan manga, or derivative works of copyrighted works without a license are prohibited.

2.3. Prohibited Content

They are automatically disqualified:

  • works with proven plagiarism,
  • content without adequate warning involving sensitive topics,
  • Material without proof of authorship or legal distribution.

3. Rules for Professionals and Artists

  • Voice actors, creators, illustrators, actors, and other professionals must have worked on productions officially released in Brazil during the relevant period.
  • Voluntary or fan-made activities are not considered for the award.
  • Foreign works by Brazilian artists only count if they have an official release in the country .

4. Rules for the Voting Public

4.1. User Conduct

  • Any attempt to manipulate the vote is prohibited.
  • The use of bots, VPNs for multiple votes, or repeated form submissions is not permitted.
  • Participation is free and open to the general public.

4.2. Data Collected

  • You may be asked for: a valid email address, display name, or city.
  • All data is kept in accordance with Otaku Saver's Privacy Policy.

5. Rules for Nominees and Winners

If the winner refuses the prize, the trophy or certificate will not be awarded to the runner-up.

Nominees cannot request removal after the announcement.

Teams and artists can share their nomination, but encouraging votes through raffles, giveaways, or the exchange of benefits is prohibited.
